Left a little homage at the “Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas!” sign. #godfather #vegas #foursquare
Talia Shire introducing The Godfather when Parts I & II were re-edited for television in 1977. She really tries to hammer it in that her brother Francis Ford Coppola (and Mario Puzo) didn’t want to offend Italian-Americans.
Ha. Why didn’t they just use Senator Geary’s statement to congress in The Godfather Part II?
"Uh, Mr. CHAIRMAN — I would like to verify the witness’s statement. For years now a growing number of my constituents have been of Italian decent — and I have come to know them well. They have honored me with their support and with their friendship. Indeed I can proudly say some of my very best friends are Italian-Americans. However, Mr. CHAIRMAN, at this time very unfortunately I have to leave these proceedings in order to preside over a very important committee of my own committee. But before I leave I do want to say this. These hearings on the Mafia are in no way what-so-ever a slur upon the great Italian people. Because I can state from my own knowledge and experience — that Italian-Americans are among the most loyal — most law-abiding — patriotic, hard working American citizens in this land. And it would be a shame. Mr. CHAIRMAN if we allowed a few rotten apples to bring a bad name to the whole barrel. Because from the time of the great Christopher Columbus up through the time of Enrico Fermi right up to the present day — Italian-Americans have been pioneers in building and defending our great nation. They are the soil o’ the earth and one of the backbones of this country."

Fredo is smart to keep his eyes on Michael.
Sunday Ducky Sunday

My all time favorite picture of Ducky and his sister.
Miss ya’, Foley.
In celebration of the hell that is this dog sitting experience, my favorite Ducky/Foley picture.
This is Foley’s crate. Ducky has bullied his way in and flopped down and is trying very hard for me to not notice that he is there. Foley is looking and me and saying, “Can we put a stop to this shit right now and get the moron dog out of my fuckin’ crate?”
By the way, if these dogs were Corleones, Foley is Michael and Ducky is definitely Fredo.
It cannot be turned off. It is “Godfather” like in that way.
SinisterShadows took us over 30.
My own brother. My own brother. Who never clicks like on crap that I post or reblogs anything. Who has two posts total INCLUDING this one.
You’re nothing to me now, Christopher. When you want to see our mother, I want 24 hours notice so I don’t see you.
To my compatriots, nothing happens to him while my mother is alive.
Humiliation to follow.
For me, Monday was “The Godfather.” Tuesday was very much “The Godfather Part II.” A matter of personal opinion, but some would say a deeper, richer experience.
Today has all the makings of “The Godfather Part III.” I can’t handle a big, disappointing trainwreck right now! But this film has a release date and I’m afraid the train can’t be stopped.
