Non-sign II is an installation by seattle based art collective Lead Pencil Studio located at the Canada-US border near Vancouver. The sculpture is made from small stainless steel rods that are assembled together to create the negative space of a billboard. While most billboards draw attention away from the landscape, Non-sign II frames the landscape, focusing attention back on it.
Hey, friends!

The Light Cycle.
This is the illuminated, street-legal motorcycle inspired by the computer animated cycle from the 2010 film Tron: Legacy. Designed for casual cruising and slow ride-bys at shows, it is made from a steel frame covered by a fiberglass cowling that replicates the sleek look of its computer-generated imagery counterpart. Electroluminescent strips built into the tire cowlings, wheel rims, and body illuminate the cycle. It is powered by a fuel-injected Suzuki 996cc, 4-stroke engine. Riders lay at a near-horizontal position astride the padded leather seat, with feet on foot pegs that control its 6-speed constant mesh manual transmission and hands on the handlebars for throttle and braking. The hubless wheels are former truck tires built up then custom-shaped to fit onto one of two counter-rotating rims spinning within each other, providing the broad-tired authenticity of the computer cycles from the movie. A chain-driven friction drum manages acceleration and braking from the handlebars. It has spring-loaded front and rigid rear suspension. Its wet sump lubrication system eliminates tubes and hoses for oil pick-up, facilitating its streamlined, minimalist design. It uses a 3 1/2-gallon main fuel tank and 1 1/4-gallon reserve tank. All cycles are built to order. 8 1/2’ L x 23 1/4” W x 28 1/2” H. (474 lbs.)

This is a grave from the Victorian age when a fear of zombies and vampires was prevalent. The cage was intended to trap the undead just in case the corpse reanimated.
Was also good for trying “Undead Crabbing.”
Mmmmmmm. Don’t forget the Zombie Old Bay Seasoning.

The young women who are getting tattoos do realize that the vast majority of the tattooed women in these beautiful pictures on tumblr aren’t actually tattooed, right?
I mean, lots of people have tattoos, but you know most of these models have them drawn on, right? For the photo shoot? So it can match the clothes or the feel of the photo? Most models won’t actually permanently mark their skin with these “full sleeves” and such because it could eliminate them from being chosen for jobs where a tattoo isn’t desired. Women know that, right?
And most women know that they will likely never find a tattoo artist in their town as talented as whoever drew (or really inked) the tats in those pictures, right? So when they choose to get theirs done in downtown Dayton, Ohio it will look much cheaper. Probably embarrassingly so. They know this, right?
And they know that getting a tattoo because it looks “cute” or “sexy” (as opposed to getting one that symbolizes or commemorates a major life event) is really stupid, right? Because what is “cute” and “sexy” changes over time but that tat is permanent and getting one because it is cute would be like an 18 year old in the 80s thinking leg warmers were cute and having them surgically grafted to her legs so she has them forever.
And they know their skin will change overtime right? So that tat of Lea Michelle riding a unicorn will start looking more and more like one of the four horsemen of the apocalypse with each passing year. They know all this, right?
Just checking.
